The Yarah Project endeavors to bring together and disciple a generation of the Mar Thoma faithful to a recovery of the timeless treasures and truths, the reliable and unfailing true faith revealed by Jesus Christ to the Prophets and Apostles, through the One, Holy, Universal, and Apostolic Church. Tiqvah is a quarterly e-magazine published with the goal of teaching the faith and practices of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church to the diaspora generation and the generations to come.

The Yarah Project is an educational platform to teach and equip a generation of believers in the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, especially among the various diaspora communities spread across India and the rest of the world. This project is not an official platform of the Church but rather seeks to provide resources to the faithful in this Church who wish to better understand the faith and traditions given to us by the faithful fathers and mothers. They led us in the past and continue to lead us, in the true faith and witness of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus.
What is the Tiqvah Magazine?
The Tiqvah Magazine is one of the media initiatives of the Yarah Project. It is a quarterly digital magazine focusing on various theological issues as well as Mar Thoma news from around the diaspora, book reviews, and other features. The project began in the year 2023.
What does Tiqvah mean?
It is a Hebrew word, meaning ‘hope’. Literally it means ‘cord’, like the scarlet cord which the prostitute Rahab hung outside her house in Jericho in order that she would be saved when that great Canaanite city was brought down by Yahweh (see Joshua 2). Hope and salvation are found in the Lord God alone. In the midst of a world of confusion and persecution, the faithful in Christ must wait with hope and expectation, preparing themselves for the return of the Lord, and leading others to faith in Jesus Christ.
How can I read the magazine?
Currently, it is published in an electronic format and published through flipHTML5, a digital magazine publishing site. It can be read on any phone, tablet or PC.
